We’ve spent months listening to what our members need from a 21st Century industry association and created a cost effective, tiered model that’s designed to maximise return on investment.

To ensure all our members are fully informed about this exciting new development, we’re currently travelling the length and breadth of South Africa and conducting face to face meetings to spread the word on Sassda’s vision for 2020.
Our educational offerings have also taken on an exciting new look and feel, driven by the philosophy of creating customised courses for specific disciplines and even drilling down to the needs of specific member companies to ensure we add maximum value to their business bottomline
Examples of this fresh new approach include our new Stainless Steel in Food and Beverage, Stainless Steel Types, a Finishes and Applications Course and more sector-specific Stainless Steel in Architecture Course and an additional course specifically tailored for Engineers. We’ve also spent many months perfecting a new Advanced Course which meets the learning requirements of more experiences stainless steel professionals.
In addition, Sassda is developing a range of eLearning courses and in future the we”ll also now have the ability to conduct virtual tours of members’ facilities, to provide real time solutions to on the ground problems.
New Sassda conference to seize the day!
Sassda will be launching an exciting new conference alongside its highly respected biennial awards in 2020 Just two of a range of exciting additions to our world-class stainless steel expertise and insight.
We already have an array of fascinating topics including key insights on the global and local stainless steel market, the state of manufacturing in South Africa, Africa manufacturing excellence beyond the 4th Industrial Revolution and how to tap into emerging markets – specifically the potential for growth in Africa.
We also continue to hold our quarterly visits to the country’s only stainless mill Columbus Stainless in Middelburg to see the origins of homegrown stainless steel.
In addition Sassda fighst for the rights of its members. An example of this is our ongoing research project analysing the 20 year trade statistics of various stainless steel products aimed at protecting the downstream stainless steel industry in South Africa #strengthinnumbers
So with all these dynamic activities underway, it’s clear that as we head into this exciting new chapter in Sassda’s history, we don’t just want to survive, we want to thrive!
