A new Zimbabwe office has been opened by R. Jackson and Company the well-known South African non-ferrous metals distributor that is part of the Macdem Group of companies.
The lifting of sanctions and optimism are the two main reasons for Jacksons looking to the opening of the office in the Zimbabwe market.
Certain business was done between South Africa and Zimbabwe during the pre-independence period and the indications are that the most ideal way of servicing the country with aluminium, brass, copper, stainless steel and specialist metals in future will be to open an office there.
The office will be under the control of Mr Tony Morris and his primary objectives will be to establish closer contacts with existing customers and to develop new business for Jacksons.
