Rodney Ranger, until recently Technical Director of Sassda and since March 1980, Technical Manager in the High Performance Alloys Division at Jacksons.
Rodney Ranger, who has been intimately associated with the stainless steel Industry since 1969, joined Jacksons in March 1980 as Technical Manager in the High Performance Alloys division where he is now well established in a sector of Jacksons which is showing dynamic growth.
Rodney Ranger, who is best known to the industry for the many years that he spent at Sassda (as Development Engineer between 1969 and 1973 and as Technical Director between 1973 and early 1980) received his early training at McKechnie Brothers. He is an Associate of the Institute of Metallurgists (London); a Member of the SA Institute of Welding; and a Member of the S.A. Corrosion Institute, and holds an NDT in Physical Metallurgy. This highly professional and greatly experienced track record is invaluable in the sophisticated materials selection normally related to High Performance Alloy applications which demand a high standard of technology and materials understanding.
The Jacksons range of High Performance Alloys includes: among the corrosion resistant grades. 904L, Haynes 20 Mod, Hastelloy Alloy G, Hastelloy C4, Hastelloy Alloy C-276, Hastelloy Alloy B2, Haynes Alloy 200, Haynes Alloy 400, and Titanium; and among the heat resisting grades: AISI 309 and 310S, Haynes Alloy 800 and Haynes Alloy 600. All these products are available in sheet, plate, bar and piping with welding electrodes and valves.
In a local market in which the energy, minerals processing, chemicals and petro-chemicals industries are all burgeoning, and high performance alloys requirements increasing dramatically, the professionalism and vast experience of a Rodney Ranger are proving of immense value to Jacksons customers.
