In keeping with the practice in other industrial countries, the S.A.S.S.D.A. Committee has decided to introduce a label scheme whereby all stainless steel products will be identified. In this way, it is hoped, a greater public awareness of stainless steel products will be created.
In addition, a well-designed label will promote the quality image already associated with stainless steel products.
Design Competition
It has been decided that the design of the label should be open to competition and the S.A.S.S.D.A. Committee will offer a prize for the best design received for an identifying label.
Competition Rules
The following general rules will apply to the competition:
The decision of the S.A.S.S.D.A. Committee shall be final in all matters relating to this competition.
Entries need only be rough sketches as the Committee is seeking the basic idea for a label rather than a final drawing.
Closing date: December 1, 1965.
Prize: The first prize shall be a set of stainless steel hollowware.
The Committee reserves the right to withhold the award of the prize should no entry be considered.
